Nordic Long Term Outlook
While the 'fit for 55' package from last year is to trigger emission reductions, the ‘REpowerEU’ package of proposals of May this year is focusing strongly on energy saving measures and renewables promotion to alleviate the dependency on Russian fuels. We also see green hydrogen being identified as an important solution for emission reductions and reducing gas consumption. Strong domestic ambitions are also present in the Nordic Countries, and we have lately seen governments of Norway and Denmark confirm their dedication to strong greenhouse gas alleviating plans. Nordic industrial companies have announced large-scale power-consuming projects for manufacturing of batteries, hydrogen, green steel, ammonia and sponge pellets (input to steel industry).
How are these factors affecting long term electricity prices? Our long term webinar is back for subscribers to our quarterly LTP. We will present the key topics of our Nordic long-term outlooks which cover key information for any investors in power. In the webinar, you will gain insight into the main price drivers and the simulated price outlook for the power market going into the 2020s and 2030s.
