Fuels Update

We observe that strongly reduced power consumption has cemented, and this is likely to go on for the entire 2023, affecting carbon demand. For the supply side of the carbon market, the market is awaiting details of significant EUA volumes that are arising from EU lawmakers plan of frontloading EUA volumes that were initially scheduled for later in the twenties. On the gas side, unprecedented high prices in Europe were observed in 2022. Diversifying European gas supply and save energy are the challenges ahead.

Nordic Region

Tor Reier Lilleholt will provide an opening comment and Lene Hagen will go through the main topics for the Nordic and Great Britain markets. We will cover the current overview of this winter and the on the situation we have in these markets today, and present our price, followed by the market expectations for 2023.

European Market Outlook

Joakim Blakstad will provide an outlook for weather as well as the hydrological expectations for the coming spring. Silvia Messa will provide a wrap up of the main fundamentals and our outlook for continental power for the rest of the year.
