Volue DeltaXE is widely used by power and gas trading companies in Europe. The solution enables utilities and traders to participate in all European power and gas markets and to speed up time to market. The system increases the efficiency and profitability of the trading processes by allowing for a high degree of automation of scheduling processes.

The number of deals growing rapidly

“In Intraday, the number of deals is growing rapidly. Simultaneously, the available time for keeping control and nominating the positions to the TSOs is decreasing. To achieve our strategic goals, it is important to further automate the short-term trading and scheduling process with DeltaXE. The competencies of Volue and capabilities of the solution are the most important reasons why we decided for Volue,” says Daniel Szafryk-Koiki, Head of Trading & Sales Operations at Uniper.

“We are proud that Uniper chose DeltaXE in a cloud-based high availability setup,” says Tom Darrel, EVP & Head of Energy, Volue.

“Our solution will support Uniper to speed up time to market based on the system flexibility to meet future requirements like new markets by configuration. Based on our market update service, Volue takes care of the regulatory market changes.”

To achieve our strategic goals, it is important to further automate the short-term trading and scheduling process with DeltaXE.

Allows us to lift the power scheduling to another technology level

“The Microsoft cloud-based deployment of DeltaXE fits best into the Uniper IT strategy and with the project, we will renew various bi-directional interfaces primarily to the ETRM Systems. This allows us to lift the power scheduling to another technology level. We decided for DeltaXE, once the high availability, disaster recovery and other security requirements were confirmed to be answered positively,” says Sebastian Wallner, Head of Dispatch Solutions at Uniper IT.

For this project, Uniper worked with Powel which has since rebranded as Volue.
