Volue Acquires Enerim Oy’s Wholesale Markets Business Line
Oslo, Norway, date 16 May. Volue, a market leader in technologies and services that enable its customers to succeed in the energy transition, has announced a deal to acquire Enerim Oy’s Wholesale Markets business line

The transaction for the leading energy market service business based in Helsinki, Finland, includes 63 employees and is expected to close on 30 June, 2023.
Merging the entity with Volue’s capabilities will create a market leader for digital services in renewables with operations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Germany from day one. Volue’s ambition is to continue growing organically into additional European territories.
Enerim’s success to date has centred on the digitalisation of the energy sector. It has used increasing amounts of data to support the development of operations through its automation and software solutions. In addition to versatile energy market services, it has provided customers with modular software services that have been developed especially for the energy sector.
The combined entity holds a scalable business model and strong growth synergies, specifically within intermittent renewable power generation. Through the acquisition, Volue takes a leading position for independent renewable players.
Volue will offer its comprehensive and scalable SaaS platform as a transparent 24/7 service offering, allowing new asset owners to participate in the market with the same sophisticated tools as the incumbents, further enabling them to monetise the volatile energy markets.
This deal illustrates our ongoing growth. Going into 2030, we anticipate there will be 400GW’s of added renewable capacity from new asset owners. These players are without large trading organisations to market the power and they will need someone to provide them with the capabilities to maximise the yield of their assets. Volue will take on that responsibility.
